Bob & Joyce Leonetti

‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through M.E.,
the couples were all working feverishly.
Joyce at the computer, and me on the phone
were working our fingers right down to the bone
The “joy-jobs” had all been accepted, you see.
All the couples said “Yes” and they did so for free.
Luciers and the Brechers were writing away.
The Holmes’s were faxing, all night & all day.
O’Neills & Mesiahs were workshopping talks
so the “Outline Police” had no beefs and no squawks
The Dolans were planning just who workshops whom,
           their sacrament illuminating the room.
And the Hegarty couple, that Thea & Joe,
finished writing their third set with 6 weeks to go.
Father Bill was beginning his eightieth year,
while the Garrity’s made sure the web-site was clear,
and said about M.E. what had to be said.
(when a half an hour late, there arrived Father Ed.)
He said,” I am here! Are we ready to eat?”
I said, “Janet made brownies.”, so Ed took a seat.
The Turco’s & Haxter’s were hauling supplies,
Father Skip had some gin (why now that’s a surprise!)
The Dooley’s, they signed up 10 couples today.
That 800 number was ringing away!
They recruited all day till they fell into bed,
where visions of Delaware danced in their head
But as all of those couples were running around,
they almost ignored an incredible sound.
The sound was a voice and it came from within.
It was hard to distinguish above all the din
It said,” Hi, I’m Jesus, my children of love,
and remember that I’m not just found up above.
I’m walking beside as you travel this road.
Your work pleases me and I’m sharing your load.”
“So as Christmas approaches; the lights and the tree,
remember to keep all your focus on me.
Because I am your savior, your reason for living;
the reason for all of the presents you’re giving.”
So wherever life turns whether good or unpleasant,
I’m there with you always… and that is your present!”
So from Msgr. Skip, and from Bob and from Joyce
“Merry Christmas to all and in Jesus rejoice!”
