Detroit Weekend Enthusiasm Leads to Inviting

Here in Detroit we have just finished another awesome Weekend!!!!!! (25 wonderful couples finished the June 23-25th W/E.)

The great news is that this W/E is very much ALIVE in the hearts of the couples who were just encountered.

One of our team couples from the W/E, Jerry & Fran Ashe, received the following email from one of the couples, wanting to make further contributions, and telling of their personal inviting experience fresh off the Weekend. We are hoping you will also find this newsworthy.

We are very proud of our Team here in Detroit, and of our hard working Workshop Couples who encourage us to always dig deeper in our writings, so that the impact on those being encountered is as powerful as possible. We are truly Blessed to be chosen by God to participate in this awesome ministry of WWME.

In a message dated June 26, 2006:

Jerry & Fran,

Thanks again for your witness this Weekend (6/23-6/25/06), this was truly the best thing we have ever done for our marriage and each other. I am writing to request a gift certificate be sent to a couple we are sure want to make a Weekend. The couple’s names are Dave and Shirley.

One of the greatest things about this referral is to hear my husband describe to Dave what a wonderful Weekend it was and hearing him say things about our marriage I never really thought I would. His enthusiasm prompted Dave to ask for more information in just one short phone conversation. I was also wondering when the next Weekend would be at the St. Johns Center? I believe that is where this couple would like to go.

Also, is there an address that we can send donations to for WWME? This was something I used to do for our local retreat house until it was closed. They had something called "donation of the month" and it was very helpful to be able to send small amounts through out the year rather than a large one time donation.
