Everyone's a Winner in the National Inviting Challenge

An Inviting Challenge was issued to see which of the 19 Sections in the United States Secretariat could Encounter the most Sacraments between January 1, 2004 and June 30, 2005. Winners of the Inviting Challenge were announced at the 2005 National Convention.

Section 19 showed the greatest improvement increasing their inviting successes by a whopping 51%. Section 16 was a close runner up increasing their inviting successes 48% and Section 1 came in third with an increase of 26%

Section 14 took top prize for the number of Sacraments by encountering 4,583 couples and 9 priests during the 18 months. Section 5 encountered 1,233 couples and 9 priests and Section 17 encountered 1,771 couples and 6 priests

Overall 17,551 couples and 89 priests attended a Worldwide Marriage Encounter Weekend during the challenge.

Appreciation goes to Gary and Marcia Daigle for compiling the data and sending up-dates and reminders to each Section throughout the challenge. See the Power Point presentation and/or excel spread sheet for the details.

Much gratitude is due to all those involved in this challenge. But the real winners are the 17,551 couples and 89 priests who were invited by WWME to renew the church and change the world.
