Great Things Happening In San Jose
Paul & Peg Raburn
Hi Lee & Jan (Kremer);
We Have Great News! The all parish weekend we were able to recruit
in February is bridged, active and in place with it's own leadership.
And, the same circle is coordinating our sweetheart ball in February
2004. So, if you are in the area on February 21st., 2004 come to
our sweetheart ball.
But wait, there is more. We are already working in another parish
recruiting using your pulpit talk roll play, It Really Works! At
our most recent romantic dessert we signed up 10 couples out of
ten! With another romantic dessert at our other parish, Holy Family,
in San Jose, we already have six more couples scheduled with two
more weeks left to add more.
But wait, there is more! We recently reached out at our annual
San Jose (TNT) Tapestry And Talent street fair and 22 couples signed
up at our booth for more information, with a lot of couples stopping
by to say they really appreciated seeing our new mission statement
banner!
But wait, there is even more! One of those couples we talked to
at the street fair is now working with us to bring marriage encounter
to their parish as they want an all parish weekend as well! WOW,
GOD IS GREAT!
YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE!
Love, Hugs & God Bless,
Paul & Peg Raburn
Subject: Re: From The Raburn's; Great Things Happening In San Jose
We've learned from 25 years of experience the best way to go forward
is to set everything up five or six months in advance, just like
a complete program.
This includes:
1.) Meeting with the parish pastor and/or church council committee
members
2.) Scheduling the pulpit announcements for two or three consecutive
months
3.) Scheduling romantic desserts at the church hall or small room
for each month
4.) Assure the parish priest, if needed, we will be building and
renewing the church
5.) Plan and schedule a bridge program after the weekend
6.) Continue the circle meetings in the church hall.
We don't know why completely, but some of the priests have a small
fear that marriage encounter pulls the couples away from the church
while building the church. Kind of confusing at times. But, by scheduling
everything at the church, it and assuring the parish priests periodically
we will not pull the couples away from the church, it works!
