Tsunami Relief Fund
Bob & Joy Hernandez and Fr. Chuck Kosanke
Dear Friends,
We are sure all of us share the sadness and grief of our brothers
and sisters in Southeast Asia who have been devastated by the earthquake
and subsequent tsunami damage that has taken an unbelievable number
of human lives. It is difficult to understand how this type of catastrophe
can remove so many lives from the face of our earth in such a short
period of time. The only positive we see in all of this devastation
is in the way so many good people have responded to the need for
aid to God’s people in that region of the world.
Many well equipped agencies and local dioceses are responding to
the need for aid, and we know you are answering those local requests
for help. We even have a Team Priest (Fr. Peter Deveraj) from an
impacted region of India, currently serving in a parish in Sag Harbor,
New York who is organizing aid through his Pallotine religious order.
His address for donations is:
St.
Andrews Church
122 Division
St.
Sag Harbor,
NY 11963

We also wanted to give you the address of a major Catholic organization
that is working around the clock to gather many types of supplies
and services, as well as, putting people on the ground to meet the
dire needs of those left without loved ones, homes, food and/or
water. The name of the national Catholic agency is:
Catholic
Relief Services

Fayette St.
Baltimore,

100% of the money donated to this fund will be directed to WWME
families whose lives have been devastated by this disaster. All
funds will be disbursed by the Asia Secretariat Team, Peter &
Helena Cheng (who reside in Malaysia) and Fr. Danilo Tiong (who
resides in the Philippines).
Above all, please keep all of the people, living and recently deceased,
in your prayers. We ask God to help them see his love for them through
the outpouring of time, talent and treasure from people around the
globe.
May God bless you and your family as we begin this new year of
2005. We give thanks every day for all the wonderful people God
has placed in our lives.
With much love,
Bob & Joy and Fr. Chuck
