| News - Section Section 9 New Leadership Tom & Katie Watson and Fr. Rudy Oborny Dear Loving World Changers, We are Tom & Katie Watson and Fr. Rudy Oborny new Section 9 leadership (Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska and Wyoming). We consider ourselves so blessed to be a part of and servant leaders of such wonderful lovers.
We (Tom & Katie) have been married for 30 years and been blessed with six beautiful children ranging in age from 13 to 26 (3 boys and 3 girls and 1 wonderful grandson). We made our Weekend 23 years ago in the Joliet Diocese in Illinois and have been area leadership in both the Joliet and Denver areas. I, Fr. Rudy Oborny, am the third of seven children. I was ordained in 1971 and spent six of my 33 years in the priesthood working in our Diocesan (Lincoln, Nebraska) Mission in Venezuela. I made my Marriage Encounter in February of 1992. I also am involved in Retrouvaille. I am convinced that the Sacraments of Matrimony and Holy Orders are two of God’s greatest forces on earth. Our hopes and dreams for Section 9 are to provide bigger and stronger Weekends and Communities. We are burning with the fire of The Holy Spirit for God’s Weekend and Our Catholic Church and wish to stoke that same fire within all of our Section 9 Lovers! In short we want to “Burn Baby Burn, with the fire of The Spirit’s Love”! As an Ecclesial Team we look forward to getting to know and journey with so many wonderful “World Changing Lovers” Around the world. Together We are Changing the World!
