| News - Local Arlington, VA. Couples Celebrate World Marriage Day Cathy & Steve Mallinger Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church
Woodbridge, VA. hosted a
30 couples attended the 15th Annual World Marriage Day at SEAS. Annette and Al Barbier led the activities which included presentations by Ann and Paul Dupoise and Father Mark Moretti, small group discussions, and time for the couples to talk to each other about the topics. The group attended the 6:00 p.m. Mass together, renewed their marriage vows and enjoyed visiting with one another during a candle lit dinner. This event is held every year around Valentine’s Day. Pope John Paul II imparted an apostolic blessing on World Marriage Day in 1993. It’s a great opportunity for married couples to spend an afternoon focusing on their life together and sharing their life experiences with other couples. Over the years, 270 SEAS couples have attended this event.
