| News - Convention Amante Convention Hugs Ed & Dee Graham Amante Convention Hugs By Ed & Dee Graham Many conventions ago, we were in a sharing group with John & Annette Amante from the NY Area. They made their weekend in the early 70's. We exchanged addresses, emails, and at every convention since, we have met, sometimes ever so briefly, just to exchange hugs and to say "See you at the next Convention." John & Annette were due to come to Towson State, had paid their fees and even had a hotel reservation. Well, John had a colonoscopy, and was diagnosed with colon cancer. He has to undergo Chemo and Radiation, and then surgery. The Dr. who will be treating John, started treatments on July 8th, the first available date they had open. Needless to say, they didn't come to convention. We have several Prayer lines that we put John on and let him know who was praying for him. At Convention, people from the NY Area kept coming up to us and giving us "Amante hugs". Love and kisses from John & Annette. The attached photo is of just one of these couples, Paul & Lee Pompeo. We had John & Annette on the Prayer Board for convention, and we felt their presence all weekend. Love,
