There Were Storm Clouds in the Sky, But Love in the Air

Marriage Encounter actually glowed over the weekend of October 14 through 16 in San Diego!

San Diego is blessed to have 16 teams and 6 priests! On that weekend, they were all busy spreading the word. And, San Diego is even bonus-blessed to have many hardworking and devoted community couples. They, too, spent last weekend reaching out to other couples.

In the wine country of Temecula, three teams and a priest presented the ME Weekend to 17 deacons or deacons-in-formation and their spouses. Meanwhile, in Hotel Circle three couples were presenting the Love Languages weekend to 20 other couples. And, at the very same time, another team couple said “yes” to San Antonio teams and flew to help them present a Weekend. Last, but not least, our very own Fr. Bill Ortmann went off to be a part of yet another ME Weekend in need of a priest! Doing the math, that’s ninety loving San Diego ME hearts all working on their sacraments at the same time.

And then there were pulpit talks, too! ME team and community couples converged on one parish to share their feelings about ME in their lives. It just keeps going ‘round and ‘round…while some were finishing their Weekend and receiving the challenge to dialogue daily, others were being invited to give themselves the gift of ME.

Yes, there was love in the air in San Diego!
