| News - Section/Local In Memory of Monsignor Bob Contant Brenda (& Jeff) Myers All: Regretfully, in this evening's newspaper I spotted an obituary for Msgr. Robert W Contant, better known to those of us in Northern Indiana WWME as 'Father Bob.' Fr. Bob was active in the Northern Indiana WWME community for MANY years (until the mid 1990's) as a presenter and a member of the Ecclesial team. He was a much loved pastor at St Joseph-Hessen Cassel Church in Fort Wayne for 33 years, and I believe he was involved in WWME almost that long as he was pastor! He retired in residence to St Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Fort Wayne in July 1997 and moved to St Charles Seminary, in Ohio in November 1998. Jeff and I were blessed to have met him and known him in his twilight years of being involved in WWME. He had a warm heart, intelligent and thoughtful mind, and was a wise and gentle soul and advisor. I know not all of you knew Fr Bob, but please pass the word to others in the WWME community as he was well known. Mass of Christian Burial was 10:30 Saturday, April 21 at 10:30 at St Joseph-Hessen Cassel Church, with calling one hour prior. Reception of the Body is noon Friday with calling from noon to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 5 p.m. and Vigil Service at 7 p.m. at the church. Burial is at St Joseph-Hessen Cassel Cemetery.
