Dear Lovers,
“Habemus papam” -- "We have
a pope." We pray the Holy Spirit will continue to guide Pope
Benedict XVI and the Catholic Church. May we in Worldwide Marriage
Encounter add support to Pope Benedict XVI as we continue to live
up to our Mission of renewal in the Church. As we look back in memory
of Pope
John Paul II, our 1993 Matimony magazine offers a Love
Letter from Our Holy Father. Considering our own history, in
Twenty
Five Years! Wow!, Fr. Chuck Gallagher looks back at the 25th
Anniversary of WWME. As we look forward, see how some of the next
generation have chosen to include themselves in WWME in Marriage
Encounter Community - Kids & Teens Included.
New articles include:
- Under Priest’s
Corner/Biographies we hear about the experience one priest had
in My
Story of Experiencing a Marriage Encounter Weekend, and learn
more in Journey
of A Priest, and A
Lover Who Spans the World.
- Under Inviting we are reminded
in The
Lost Wallet that we must always be ready to act on the opportunity
to invite someone to attend a Weekend.
- Under Resources/Miscellaneous:
We
Looked So Different Years Ago reminds us love never dies, and
love continues in the beautiful poem Remember.
- Under Family/Weekend Effect
reminds us of the importance of Community in Love
Is A Daily Decision and Community,
We Are Fred & Luisa.
- Under News/Local we have Maine
ME Early Apostles, under News/International
see Guam-Saipan-Okinawa
to see how Section 12 spans outside the continental United States
and News/Convention, includes
Reflections
On Our Journey To Rutgers.
- Under Resources/Archives,
we have added the four issues of Matrimony Magazine printed
in 1993. We have also updated a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet listing
all articles published from 1994 through 2003.
-When you visit eMatrimony
please remember to check our prayer Intentions
& Requests. Our family relies on your prayers when they
ask us to include their special intentions.
