| News - Section Section 10 Presenting Team Enrichment John & Ann Arnold Dear M.E. Family, We just experienced the Presenting Team Sweep in Dallas, Texas (Section 10) and wanted to thank the Sweep Coordinators: Ron & Judy Pekny, John & Rosemary Kleinfelder, and Scott & Karen Seaborn, as well as our presenters; Michael & Nancy Dolan and Rob & Sue Strouse. It was a wonderful enrichment and gave us renewed enthusiasm and great formation. We have been on this journey 29 years and WE BELIEVE IN THE DREAM. We believe in the call that God has given to us. We believe that the Marriage Encounter Weekends bring honor to our loving God and renewal to our Church. And we believe in the eternal reward we will enjoy in heaven when we see God face to face. The stakes are high! The image of the Lighthouse with it's bright lights representing God's love and His power and His glory, stationed before us as we row in the rough waters is such a powerful image of our call. We tend to forget that we are still in the boat. We know that we cannot come out of the waters and sit in the lighthouse until our journey is complete. With our eyes focused on the reward, we work continually to stay on course. We have paddled through some pretty rough waters. Sometimes we get so tired we just stop and drift. And sometimes we paddle and paddle and seem to get no where. But then there are times when a nice gust of wind comes and pushes us right up to the harbor of God's love and we bask in His holy presence. Our work is "to love". And "to love" is a full time, no bull, give it all you've got journey that at times leaves us feeling frustrated. It is a challenging frustrated feeling. Maybe like trying to lose weight, or trying to not miss a day of dialogue. But the mission is clear. We were rescued by the "life-boat" and now we are being called to save others. God has no other "life-boats" but ours! It's not about us and our comfort or happiness. It's about God and His divine love for His people. It's a mission!! And you precious lovers are chosen and called. We have the security, the hope, the safety, the promise of all that we need in the image of that lighthouse. BELIEVE!! He is our King of Glory, let us also receive Him as our Prince of Peace! Peace be with you.
