Fr. Tim Vakoc is needs our love and prayers
Jim & Joann Feeley
Dear Jack & Karen,
Thank you for adding
our prayer request for Father Tim Vakoc, the Army chaplain wounded
in Iraq. I did a little searching for more detail than I was able
to provide initially. He was wounded on May 29th near Mosul, reportedly
on the 12th anniversary of his ordination. He absorbed just about
the full force of the explosion and those in the armored Humvee
with him were shaken up but not wounded seriously.
There is an internet
site called CaringBridge.org
where people can sign an electronic guest book and share words of
support for Father Tim and his family. There is even an update section
which, as of today, relates that Father is still being treated for
meningitis and responds best to the sound of his Mom's voice. It
is very moving to read the messages of prayerful support and love
for this brave Priest in the guest book.
Thanks again for your
efforts for WWME and for keeping Father Tim in your prayers.
Love and Prayers,
Jim & Joann Feeley
