Dear ME WNY Lovers:
Thanks for helping an ME priest's dream come true! Enough money
was collected to send Father Emile home to New Zealand to be with
his ailing mum for Christmas. We know for a fact that a number of
ME WNY couples participated so we were extra proud when Father Emile
was presented with this gift at this past weekends New York State
ME Meeting. Father Emile was moved to tears. We are attaching his
letter of thanks below. By the way, Father Emile will be coming
to Rochester to present the Dec 9-11 weekend. Anyone that would
like to send prayer letters for him are more than welcome. Send
the letters to us or to Bill & Sheila Goodman (Prayer Letter
Coordinators). He is a remarkable man that is a missionary &
part of Chaplain Emergency Services. He was in the morgue during
9/11 comforting families and ensuring that all remains were treated
with dignity. He also was responsible for coordinating the recent
Eucharistic Celebration in Washington, DC. He now serves with Mike
& Mary Gibbons as Section 2- New York State Leaders. We are
thrilled that we can all honor him in this special way.
Leo & Ed
Kia Ora, all you wonderful Lovers,
I am so overwhelmed by the gift you gave me this morning. I was
stunned with the announcement - and even before looking in the envelope
at the check - just the thought that you would do this for me -
you are the best. I don't know what to say. THANK YOU SO MUCH. Your
love and generosity has no limits. I know now that there was a lot
of activity at the Enrichment getting all this together. You certainly
sprang a surprise on me this time. I will be forever grateful. Please
pass on my heartfelt gratefulness to all who were part of this.
I promise you all a remembrance in my prayers, and in a very special
way at each Mass I will celebrate at home with my Mum - you will
all be there with us as I give thanks to God for you and for the
mission that we are on. I'll be talking with Mum tonight and will
let her know what you have done. Thank you. Bless you all.
Aroha nui and God Bless.
Emile
