For the Many Times

Dear Father,
We in the Marriage Encounter Team Community would like to wish
you a belated happy “World Priest Day”, which was last
Sunday, September 21st. We wanted to gift you with a meditation
of the Hands of Holy Orders but could not obtain the copyright.
So in this light, we are writing you a poem.
Poem of Thanks To Priests

“For the Many Times”
Dear Reverend, Father, Spiritual Guide,
Counselor and Pastor
for those many times you were there when it really mattered.
For the many times you have given the Sacraments
to help us understand what they really meant.
For the many times you have said Mass
and were the guide to teach us to fast.
For the many times you gave a Homily
so that we could go home and be more for our Family.
For the many times you brought healing to the Mourning
so they could be at peace with a new day dawning.
For the many times you have attended meetings
to help your parish be more appealing.
For the many times you attended Bingo
so that the people could bring in a little extra dough.
For the many times you have taught the Bible
so that we could all hear Jesus as our disciple.
For the many times you have taught at CCD
to help children to learn that He is one of three.
For the many times you have said The Way of the Cross
so that we could follow the path and not get lost.
For the many times you have said a prayer
so that we could save the world of all the nightmares.
These are just a few of the many times that we are thankful for
having you as our Priests.
