Remember
Louise Conners
(Excerpted from Fall 1993 Matrimony magazine)
I read the following on a picture in a little country store.
I was so inspired that I wrote my own poem.
“When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes
a treasure.”
REMEMBER
When a face that was dear, no longer is here,
And a voice that was loved is hushed,
It seems as if time went too quickly,
It seems as if things were too rushed.
Then one by one we remember,
And one by one we clearly recall,
Many quiet and wonderful hours,
And the joys that were shared in them all.
And there's a great feeling of comfort,
When a heart that is grieving and sad,
Can remember again and be thankful,
For all the sweet hours it had.
