“Men are Like Waffles, Women are
Like Spaghetti”

Having received no articles to post on eMatrimony,
we went searching for what is going on in our WWME world. We started
at www.wwme.org
and looked under Already Encountered/Other ME Sites. Our attention
was drawn to one of our favorites – Australia - a little snooping

Where one of the articles was:
Waffles & Spaghetti goes to Canberra!!!
The M.E. Canberra community are hosting their first ‘Day
of Growth’ and warmly invite couples (married, engaged and
dating couples) to join in the fun and humour of the day –
all about ‘understanding and delighting in our gender differences’
and learning how this can help us fulfill God’s plan for
us. This one day relationship enrichment seminar just gets better
and better each time it is presented! It’s not always the
same couples either – this time the 3 presenting teams will
be the Goodes, the Kauczs and the Gabins!

Then we remembered receiving a copy of the WWME
Massachusetts and Rhode Island area newsletter for January 2007,
where the theme is:
Waffles and Spaghetti
ENRICHMENT: "Men are like Waffles, Women are like Spaghetti"
If you are interested in a great topic for an enrichment, check
out the book by Christian authors Bill & Pam Farrel, "Men
are Like Waffles, Women are Like Spaghetti: Understanding and
Delighting in Your Differences".
We all want our relationships to be happy and harmonious. That's
why so many of our decisions are affected by how we think our
wife or husband, as a member of the opposite sex will respond.
This book is about helping us better understand the differences
between men and women using a novel approach - Men are like Waffles,
Women are like Spaghetti.
It was God's plan to make us different from each other from the
moment he imagined us. His plan was to use these differences between
male and female as away to build intimate and rewarding relationships.
Unfortunately, as with many gifts from God, we have managed to
complicate it.
We have not read the book but our interests are surely peaked with
just two of the many WWME areas around the world supporting enrichments
with the same theme.
You might consider reading the book and watching to see if the
Encounter Resources
Library (ERL.wwme.org)
gets some suggested Presentation Outlines.
